When all of us are counted in the US Census, we get more for our communities. Roughly 700 billion in federal funds will be allocated based the census data collected this year.
For Shelby County, that funding could expand our public transit system, fix our broken sidewalks and improve public schools.
In 2010, Shelby County had the lowest response rate of any other county in Tennessee. In fact, 42% of Shelby County residents live in what's know as "hard-to-count" areas.
That's why Memphis For All is working to get more for Shelby County, by making sure we're all counted.
